Description

I'm trying to install pfSense on a Thinkpad 390E with two PCMCIA Xircom CE3B NIC cards. It seems that pfSense is not finding the driver for these cards even though they are listed in the HCL for FreeBSD 7.0. Here's a snippet from the startup log:

ed1: <XIRCOM CreditCard 10/100> at port 0x100-0x10f
irq 11 function 0 config 1 on pccard0
device_attach: ed1 attach returned 6
ed2: <XIRCOM CreditCard 10/100> at port 0x110-0x11f
irq 11 function 0 config 1 on pccard1
device_attach: ed2 attach returned 6

Sorry but this is not a valid bug report. You need to ask about this in the forum or mailing list.

We do not test or guarantee laptops will work at all.

Ok, I asked in the forum and they told me to submit a bug report... Oh well, guess I'll use SmoothWall.

We do not track hardware-specific FreeBSD issues as we can't do anything about them, report to a FreeBSD list for help.
