When using Hover as a DNS NS, in pfSense the updates are not working, no matter what you write into the hostname/domain.
This bug ticket was created to administer the fix.

The proposed fix also solves the issue where there are multiple entries in hover with the same host + domain combination, but different type (like CNAME, MX) - in these cases if the CNAME or MX preceded the A type, then that type would've been updated. The proposed fix always updates A-type DNS entries. This could be further enhanced to also provide the ability to choose / input what type would the user wish to update, like in the domain field A:domain.com or similar, then enhancing the back-end to process the data as such. For this use-case it was enough to only focus on A-type DNS updates.
