Description

The Logs Management process in Snort, when enabled, does not purge rotated alert logs that have exceeded the configured retention limit nor does it purge these rotated alert logs when the overall disk consumption exceeds the limit configured for Snort.

Pull requests have been submitted to both the pfSense-2.4.5-RELEASE and pfSense-2.5-DEVEL branches to correct this issue. The 2.4.5-RELEASE fix is here: https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/pull/852; and the 2.5-DEVEL fix is here https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/pull/850.

The pull requests have been merged. This bug is corrected in the latest Snort package versions 3.2.9.11 (for pfSense-2.4.5) and 4.1 (for pfSense-2.5 DEVEL).

This issue can be closed.
