Bug #10664
closedAfter 2.4.5_1 upgrade OpenVPN connections started leaking WAN IP DNS
0%
Description
I was fiddling with browsers x webrtc leaks and then I found out that all OpenVPN connections were leaking my WAN IP DNS... that only happened after the 2.4.5_1 upgrade. I found that very odd... then I went to General Setup, option DNS Server Override, clicked status=checked, saved, then clicked status=unchecked, saved again, then it stopped leaking. So all of you out there may be leaking vpn DNSs right now after upgrade... that's an upgrade bug, a serious one.

There is not nearly enough detail here to classify this as a bug and not a symptom of some other problem. It sounds more like a configuration issue and it could have happened with any reboot, not just on upgrade, or possibly it was due to some other upgrade issue (like the pkg upgrade issue which is already being tracked on #10610 and #10646).
For assistance in solving problems, please start a thread for this specific issue on the Netgate Forum or the pfSense Subreddit .
See Reporting Issues with pfSense Software for more information.
If a unique actionable bug can be identified and replicated then a new issue can be created with more accurate detail.
