Description

I followed the official HE tunnelbroker documentation here: https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/recipes/ipv6-tunnel-broker.html

I do have a gif0 interface, I added the corresponding firewall rules, everything should work fine.

However I am only able to reach the ipv6 tunnel server address using this command directly on the pfsense:

ping6 -I gif0 2001:470:6c:aaaa::1

I am unable to reach any other ipv6 address using ping6.

I have added the relevant configuration screenshots to the issue, but for better readability you may want to read the associated forum thread here:
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/158767/no-traffic-gets-past-he-ipv6-tunnel

What information do you need for further investigation?

  • Status changed from New to Not a Bug

This does not appear to be a bug, but a configuration issue or something else in your environment. Keep the discussion on the forum unless a more specific problem can be identified other than "it doesn't work for me".

I, and many others, have HE.net tunnels configured identically to the documentation which are operating as expected.
