Feedback:
For vmware 7 you need to tell it to use FreeBSD 12 64 Bit as the Guest OS Family. If you use FreeBSD 13 64 bit, it wont find the hard drives for the install.

It's standard practice to match the version of the guest OS, there isn't any reason why someone should pick FreeBSD 13 yet. Picking anything other than the version that matches the guest OS is going to be a problem, and the page doesn't recommend any specific version.

The guide in general is very old and needs updated, so this specific issue is moot.
