Description

Hello PFSense-Team,

I just tried to get a free-dns account to work. With dyndns and no-ip it is working but however the free-dns-account does not. Within the log file I can see the following lines:

Jan 29 01:46:22 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: DynDns: Current WAN IP: 93.221.235.38
Jan 29 01:46:22 octopus check_reload_status: syncing firewall
Jan 29 01:46:22 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: DynDns: No Cached IP found.
Jan 29 01:46:22 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: DynDns debug information: DynDns: cacheIP != wan_ip. Upd
ating. Cached IP: 0.0.0.0 WAN IP: 93.221.235.38 Inital update.
Jan 29 01:46:22 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: DynDns: DynDns _update() starting.
Jan 29 01:46:23 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: DynDns: DynDns _checkStatus() starting.
Jan 29 01:46:23 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: DynDns: Current Service: freedns
Jan 29 01:46:23 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: phpDynDNS: PAYLOAD: ERROR: Invalid update URL (2)
Jan 29 01:46:23 octopus php: /services_dyndns_edit.php: phpDynDNS: (Unknown Response)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Interesting is that within the cache-file for the entry the following information lies:
0.0.0.0:1296261982

That does not make sense in my eyes. Are there any known issues?

With best regards and many thanks

Thomas

Works for me - freedns works slightly different to the other 2 dyn providers you mentioned. Did you follow http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=23980.0 at all?

Hey guys,

I feel so ashamed and am really sorry. Since I already had a lot of trouble with the dynamic-dns-functionality and one bug already I was conviced this is just another one...

Sorry again please close this.
