Description

Installing the package Open-VM-Tools creates two entries under Status / Services: vmware-guestid and vmware-kmod. For the entry vmware-kmod, clicking Stop, Start, and Restart does not seem to have any effect. When the vmware-kmod is not loaded (e.g. the package is missing after a config restore), the service does show a stopped status.

Either the action buttons should reflect the kmod being loaded/unloaded correctly, or the action buttons should be removed and only the status icon should remain.

Can confirm this behavior on pfSense Plus 23.01. Since this is a kernel module and not a service, probably best to just remove the buttons. The vmware-guestid is fine to leave, though.
