Description
Dual wan setup. Failover works fine.
Email alerts work for:
primary wan up
secondary wan down
secondary wan up
Email alerts do NOT work for:
primary wan down

They work fine so long as there is a route to your mail server. If your default route is down of course the firewall can't get any messages out. If you configure failover for the firewall itself, it has an OK chance at getting some out but even that is debatable. If you have a local mail server that's better.
But it fires off the notifications as they happen, they don't sit in a queue indefinitely. If it can't contact the mail server they won't get sent.
