When you goto enter account and passwpord details for smtp server then press test, it may work. However, the saved password is reset.

Not sure if this is when you are testing settings changes that do not work first time and you need to re-enter and confirm password with every test. Result was I had failed tests as the password was reset without me having any prompt.

Suggest the Test SMTP button retains an entered password or the notice is updated to reflect this situation.
