Description

x86 server, pfSense 2.7.2, Mellanox ConnectX-3 NIC

Connecting to Mellanox 6036G switch over original Mellanox DAC cable

Card works properly when port is configured on switch as 40 GbE, when configuring 56 GbE, the port connects, however it fails to send any traffic.

Also LAGG connects and enters COLLECTING, DISTRIBUTING state, tcpdump sees traffic on both mlxen interfaces and lagg0 interface.

The same cards/cables/switches/ports work normally in 56 GbE mode with commodity linux so this is not a hardware problem of any kind.

Probably when card autonegotiates 56 GbE mode pfSense does not consider it connected?
