Bug #15289
closedDashboard show's some data twice every interval
0%
Description
Connected trough a "slow" Anydesk connection to a pfsense 2.6 or 2.7.2 Router with timezone set to Europe/Zurich and Chrome with the same localization.
On the Dashboard page I can see that lines which are updated every second like Uptime, the string is written twice.
First as: 23 Days 08 Hours 45 Minutes 05 Seconds and the immediatly overwritten with: 23 Tage 08 Stunden 45 Minuten 05 Sekunden
This happens with strings that have some time information in it, others which are static I dont know.

Hello Guido,
So, to clarify, the time is first presented in English and then reloads shortly after in the localization language defined? Am I understanding that correctly? If so, have you found that timezone has any bearing? It seems this would be more about the language than the time zone.

Hello Chris,
I added the time zone in case it is taken into account somewhere.

Oh dear....
I just found out that this user's had their Chrome/Google browser and settings set to translate English to German.
By disabling all auto-translation features, the dashboard and other pages will return to “normal”.
The only interesting thing about this false alarm is that Chrome translates in two steps and not on the fly ;-)
Sorry, case can be closed before week ends ;-)
