Somewhere in the docs about High Availability setups should be a mention of renewing the self signed certificate in the cluster.

If you renew the self signed cert on the primary node, it will (as expected) also renew the cert on the secondary node. However, the secondary will NOT start using this cert for it's webGUI until either A. the webConfigurator is restarted or B. the firewall is rebooted. Neither of which is a big deal, but if you fail to do this it could create issues.
