Description

Upgraded pfBlockerNG this morning and the dashboard displays a crash. Go into the the crash report and there is a PHP error on line 688 of /usr/local/pkg/pfblockerng/pfblockerng.inc

I reinstalled and got the same error. I then uninstalled and rebooted which fixed the problem. Upon reinstalling the error started to occur again.

The webGUI appears to somewhat function, but multiple screens, to include the dashboard trigger the error. I couldn't tell if pfBlockerNG was running or not.

I had installed a number of package upgrades this morning before this happened. Not clear if it started after a specific one.

I am not seeing this on 24.11 and the latest version of pfBlockerNG stable. Can you confirm if you are using the stable or the devel version?

I was on the 24.03 stable version. Since then I have upgraded to 24.11 and the problem does not exist with that configuration.

Hello. Thanks for the reply. I apologize for not being more clear. I was wondering if you are using the stable or devel version of pfBlockerNG. Please confirm the version.

No problem. I went back and looked the logs. The error started to occur after upgrading pfBlockerNG. Here is the log message.

3.2.0_10 -> 3.2.0_16

No indication of dev vs stable, but I do not remember selecting a dev version or seeing it listed anywhere. Hope that helps.

  • Status changed from New to Closed

There was an issue here previously that's since been resolved in the package. It's also possible that the update branch was set to a different version from the system. In such cases, the system must be upgraded before packages.
