Description

In the Netgate Physical Appliances documentation, there is often a How-To Guide for Reinstalling pfSense Plus Software, with a section to Determine Target Drive. This section is specifically written to include internal storage options for the devices, but does not include external storage options, such as those connected via USB. The Netgate Installer now supports USB storage as an option when determining the target drive.

This applies to the Netgate 1100 as well as others, such as the Netgate 6100.

An example of the disk selection when using USB storage on the Netgate 1100 is below (note, da0 as the device name).
