Description
In the WebGUI under System->General Setup you can set the name(s) for NTP time servers. But you cannot clear this setting via the WebGUI. Erasing the contents of the field and saving this page will lead to an error message. Last version of pfsense tested: 2.0-RC3 (built on Jul 24, 2011)

You must define a time server, as many operations on the firewall require correct time. You could enter an IP address for a local server if the device does not have remote connectivity, but as there is no other way to set the clock in the GUI, an NTP server is required.
The field even says that one is required, though the error message could be clearer.
