Description

Hello,
please make the 'Destination Port from' field display something like
'single port or alias' to be consistent with other fields (source).

It is not obvious that 'other' is not only a port number !

Btw, nothing prevents the GUI from displaying in the dropdown list of port the defined port-alias at beginning ;-)

"other" includes aliases.

"other" includes aliases. Just for you (-:

Can you for 1 minute impersonate someone discovering pfsense.
He sees on line #3 something saying field X accept 'number or alias'
On line #6, same page, the same kind of input field saying 'other'

So DEFINITLY YES it is a wrong gui.

I took 10 minutes to report
I took 1 minute to fix

Just ear people taking time to feedback your RC3 product.

Red background on a form field means an alias can be used. That is consistent throughout the entire GUI.

happy to learn it (red background)

for me it is ok, I won't loose time anymore in creating 10 rules with varying the port only

but thousand others will, just for a small word, a bad gui saying "range from to" never writing the word 'alias' near it.

In this context, 'other' means 'other port number not listed in the dropdown list'

And more, if this stupid list has not listed my existing port alias in it, this is because is not allowed at that place (yes I think the developper is intelligent enought to list every thing acceptable in the field).

Just replace 'other' by 'port number or alias'. No ambiguity. Precision only. No time to loose with stupid conjecture on what 'other' means.
