Description
Having current hardware (a 2013 Intel Nuc) running i3-3217U processor, and running pfSense of a class 10 microSDHC device (USB interface) the reboot time is 83 seconds long. Beastie is already disabled and BIOS setup is optimized to shorten time spent there.
A 1 second interval ping command loses 83 second when rebooting pfSense-2.1.1-PRERELEASE-4g-amd64-nanobsd_vga-20140131-1030.img.
Note that restarting Windows 8.1 on mSATA on this hardware takes less then 5 seconds.
Please shorten the (re)boot time, and start pfSense fast.
