Bug #391
closed1.2.3 (and others?) Deleting multiple opt interfaces results in a corrupt config.xml
0%
Description
I only noticed this on 1.2.3, I don't know if prior versions are effected, or if this is a carry over from a prior version that bit me while doing some cleanup.
Scenario:
Two seperate pfsense boxes, both upgrades from previous versions. Both with wan/lan/2+ optional nics.
While troubleshooting a seperate issue (on one box) decided to do house cleaning since optional nics are no longer used. Deleted Interface 1, Deleted Interface 2 (both from WebGUI - Assign: Hit X).
After deleting Second NIC, Can't access WebGUI.
SSH pulls up normal menu, complains about optxxxxx
vi config.xml delete all references to optxxxxx (still displayed all information/description/ips).
WebGUI works again / Error message goes away.
I ended up duplicating this in the second box, unfortantly my notes are not clear as to the specific error message, it was something along the lines of optxxxx only allowed once.
I will try to replicate this once again once I have a few minutes and Update this, but wanted to get it posted in case I forget / It is something easily fixed. I am filing it as a bug, but it could very well be my config files. These boxes were upgraded from ~ 1.0, so it could be cruft build up.

That was fixed in 1.2.3 (with a clean config, could be problems with a config that had optxxxx inserted previously), it's not an issue in 2.0, and we're not fixing anything further in 1_2.
