Bug #4703
closedInconsistent availability of direction on CP IP/MAC/hostname passthrough
0%
Description
CP MAC and IP passthrough used to have a direction (in/out/both) on each entry, which is potentially useful in a variety of situations. Out direction for port forwards or other similar circumstances where you need to reach a device, but don't want it going outbound.
Removed with no explanation in commit aea564088a335bef9c9d6fb55409dd0ad65b3049.
Probably should bring back the direction on IP and MAC passthrough entries. If that's difficult for some reason, it's not that big of a deal, but in that case it needs to be removed from hostname passthrough so they're consistent.

there is a related issue in that icon_pass.gif is shown for direction "both", so configs from older versions where the direction existed show icon_pass.gif for older entries, and nothing for newer, leading to confusion. reference: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=94785.0
