Description

Failing to boot an Asrock Q1900M, bios v1.5 dated 31/10/2104.
Affects released version 2.2.2 amd64 and Development version 2.2.3 amd64.

In each instance the boot sequence takes you to the UEFI bios setup screen. No warning or reports to screen. Using the bios boot selection list the boot medium is not listed and I guess is not regarded as bootable with the pfSense images.

I tried this with pfSense-LiveCD-2.2.2-RELEASE-amd64-20150413-2010.iso (and the memstick version).
Then tried the development version pfSense-memstick-serial-2.2.3-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-20150614-0219.img ( and the iso version ).

In both cases the above images successfully boot another machine. ( Acer travelmate 5720)

I also tried Mint mate v17 and SystemRescue CD (systemrescuecd-x86-4.5.3) in the Q1900M to validate the hardware, both worked.

I note Bug #3678 which is for the same board. Ken seems to gets past media identification "as bootable" in order to get Kernel panic report so I suspect this is a different problem.

Not sure of the etiquette here so forgive me for assigning priority as high please amend as appropriate.

You cannot use UEFI boot. You need to turn on the legacy boot and disable Secure Boot (if relevant).
