Description

Hello,

Version pfSense "pfSense-memstick-serial-2.2.6-RELEASE-i386" install on a USB key, the router is a net6501-50 Soekris in which there is the USB key + pfSense a USB key for configuration.
When turning on the router everything goes well up menu with options 1 -> 16 + 98 option, I make an interface configuration "Lan" and then I made the option to send the 98 configuration on the second USB (da1s1 mounted as / tmp / mnt / cf). Sending the file "config" goes well no worries.
Then I finished configuring the web interface (webconfigurator), then I reboot the router to support the proper time zone.
After restart set out loaded from the second USB key, option 98 is present in the menu when I make this option or option 4 then all configuration is overwritten by a file "config.xml" containing 0 bytes is corrupt, here is the error message:

Config.xml is corrupted and is 0 bytes. Could not restore a previous backup.Config.xml is corrupted and is 0 bytes. Could not restore a previous backup.

Following this error I restart the router via the "shell" here is the error I get:

0) Logout (SSH only) 9) pftop
1) Assign Interfaces 10) Filter Logs
2) Set interface (s) IP address 11) Restart webConfigurator
3) Reset password webConfigurator 12) pfSense Developer Shell
4) Reset to factory defaults 13) Upgrade from console
5) Reboot system 14) Enable Secure Shell (sshd)
6) Halt system 15) Restore recent configuration
7) Ping host 16) Restart PHP-FPM
8) Shell
98) Move configuration file to removable device
99) Install pfSense to a hard drive, etc.

Enter an option:

After, no options only work is the only solution is to go through option 8 (shell) to be able to turn off the router remove the USB key to receive the configuration remove the "conf" folder or file "config.xml" of return it to the router and restarting it.
The router starts with the "config" default pfSense and must be repeated.

My question is the following; Therefore, when making the option 98 (after configuring the pfsense) and the router reboots this option is still present? And be more functional, knowing that the configuration is already on a USB key?

Sorry for the aproximative translation.

Cordially.
