Bug #6304
closedIncorrect Queue assigment of ESP traffic with DSCP floating rule
0%
Description
Hi,
I have a problem with my pfsense, version 2.3 and trafic shapping (PRIQ).
In fact, the pfsense is VPN Passthrough (IPSEC) and my only solution for make QoS, is the DSCP field, which is maintained through tunnel.
But the pfsense put all traffic in the qDefault rule (DSCP not matched)....
So my VoIP is highly impacted?
Anybody can help me?
Thanks in advance.

In fact, it is working now but I needed to shut my link for few minutes to activate correct assignment, is it normal?
Thanks,

- Status changed from New to Not a Bug
If you have an existing state for the traffic, it won't utilize new shaper rules until the state is killed or expired. If you have constant traffic, new shaper rules won't take effect unless the state table is reset.
By shutting down your interface for a bit, it gave those states time to expire, so the current rules were respected when traffic came back.
That's always been the case with shaper rules.
