Description

Hi,

I just made a fresh install of 2.3 amd64 with Squid 0.4.16_2 (squid-3.5.16).
Adding local Squid users with passwords +8 characters cannot be authenticated.

Using passwords with max. 8 characters works.

This is similar to bug #5940.
