Description

Hi Guys,

I've had this issue since 2.3.2 but was waiting to 2.3.3 to see if it gets fixed. It still an issue so I thought I'd better report it.

The Issue
When you create a Traffic Queue on a VLan Interface and then press apply it crashes out PFSense and then you have to use single user mode and copy a backup of a working config to get it going again.
I believe its because of the chipset my Network ports use. They are built in to the mini-pc I am using, which it has 4 of. See below. I will attach the crash log as well. Hopefully its an easy fix

PCI List
em0@pci0:1:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x150c8086 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
em1@pci0:2:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x150c8086 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
em2@pci0:3:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x150c8086 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
em3@pci0:4:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x150c8086 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
vendor = 'Intel Corporation'
device = '82583V Gigabit Network Connection'
class = network
subclass = ethernet

Network Layout
WAN (wan) -> em0 -> v4/DHCP4: 88.111.237.228/19 (Traffic Shaping works)
LAN (lan) -> em1 -> v4: 192.168.2.1/24 (Traffic Shaping works)
DMZ (opt2) -> em1_vlan200 -> v4: 192.168.10.1/24 (Traffic Shaping brakes PFSense)
GUEST (opt3) -> em1_vlan4000 -> v4: 192.168.254.1/24 (Traffic Shaping brakes PFSense)

This is the device I brought which runs PFSense, http://www.qotom.net/goods-129-QOTOM-Q190G4+4+LAN+Mini+PC.html

Do I need to add any options to the way the EM driver is using my nics? because they are sharing the same chip I believe.

Looks the same as #6257. If it's not, it's probably your hardware. Try 2.4, if it doesn't work, we can't fix your hardware.

how do I know if altq is loaded for the VLAN Driver? as it works fine on em1 and em0, just when you try using it on a VLAN.

On 2.4 it is. Check the closed issues on 2.4. If you have more questions, post them on the forum.
