Description

I have latest snapshot of pfSense 2.4 installed with RAM Disk enabled.

After upgrade to the next snapshot pfSense works fine for approximately one day and reboots itself. All of the logs and monitoring data during this period (after upgrade and before reboot) are lost. However, after reboot it works fine for many days and keeps all logs properly.

Here is how system log looks like:

Jun 14 15:04:00 kernel Copyright (c) 1992-2016 The FreeBSD Project.
Jun 14 15:04:00 syslogd kernel boot file is /boot/kernel/kernel
Jun 13 16:40:45 php-fpm 74160 /rc.start_packages: Restarting/Starting all packages.
Jun 13 16:40:44 check_reload_status Starting packages

As you can see, everything that happened after `Jun 13 16:40:45` and before `Jun 14 15:04:00` do not exist anymore.

I'm using amd64 version with UEFI, the issue happened to me twice already. First time I thought it was me doing something wrong, but it appears to be pfSense.
