Description
Hello,
I have problem to configure Proxy with authentification. I go in System>Advanced>Miscellaneous and I configure the 4 items (pfsense-conf-proxy.png).
The authentification doesn't work : pfsense-log-squid.png
What can I do to resolve it ?
Thanks a lot

Files
I add a file, with a packet capture.

Hello,
I did other tests.
The proxy works with websites in http but not in https. If I do 'fetch -v http: //www.xxxxx.xx' it works. But not with a site in https.
If I use 'links' from pfsense and configure the proxy, I can authenticate and access sites in http or https.
Thanks for your help.

There was a FreeBSD bug about that, see #6949, but that's been fixed for a while now. If the proxy auth works for HTTP but not HTTPS then maybe something in that area broke again.
For HTTP, is the request definitely using the proxy and authentication OK?
Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
Yes it work for HTTP request. You can see the picture "pfsense http and https tests.PNG", I have set the configuration with a user (username : squid) and I did 2 tests, the first in HTTP is OK and the second in HTTPS failed.
Thanks a lot

This has been fixed for a while. There is still one issue on snapshots (#9478) but that bug has more current information and isn't a complete failure of proxy auth like this was.
