If you're on 2.4.4 or later, edit/save options on the squid cache settings tab.

sorry Jim, i just tested it before my comment on : 2.4.4-RELEASE-p2 (amd64)
i try " edit/save options on the squid cache settings tab ", as you explain, and didn't notice any error

can be solved in my opinion

i use another on relaese : 2.4.4-RELEASE-p1
and did'nt remember any error, but i cant test it for now.
