Description

Based on a forum post I performed some testing.

If I started a download in Firefox then used the same Firefox browser to view the dashboard or the traffic graphs the download would slow to a crawl and die.

Viewing the traffic graphs using Safari or Chrome on the same host was fine.

Also, viewing the graphs from the same Safari or Chrome browser that was performing a download was also fine.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Start a download (I used http://ipv4.download.thinkbroadband.com/1GB.zip)
  3. View the traffic graphs in the same browser

This seems to be much worse if there are a lot of tabs open though I could see a marked slowdown with only one tab on the traffic graphs and the download running.

All testing done using recent versions on macOS 10.14.
