Viewing logs at "Status -> System Logs -> Firewall -> Normal View" broken

I updated to the most recent pfSense dev release earlier today. Afterwards, it reported that there are no log entries to see.

I checked the box "Status -> System Logs -> Settings -> Log packets matched from the default pass rules put in the ruleset" and was able to see these entries. But, unchecking the box does not stop showing the entries. If this box is unchecked, the entries continue to show in the logs. And, using the "Status -> System Logs -> Firewall -> Normal View -> Manage Firewall Log (bottom of page)" options doesn't work either.

Indeed, setting options at the bottom of the page appear to have no effect or incorrect behavior, and are often reset on viewing the page anew.
