Bug #1033
closed
- Project changed from pfSense to pfSense Packages
- Category set to bandwidthd
- Status changed from New to Feedback
Uninstall the package and then reinstall it. I fixed quite a few dependencies on it this afternoon. It started OK when I last tested it. Then check the status under Status > Services. If it still does not run, go to Diagnostics > Command and run "ldd /usr/local/bandwidthd/bandwidthd" and paste the output here.
Also it would help to know if you are on i386 or amd64.
my pc is i386.
according to your suggesting: uninstall package and reinstall it. I checked status >status see the bandwidthd had runing but when I run bandwidth, it show "Please start bandwidthd to populate this directory."
after this status I run command:
$ ldd /usr/local/bandwidthd/bandwidthd
/usr/local/bandwidthd/bandwidthd:
libpcap.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libpcap.so.1 (0x280a0000)
libgd.so.4 => /usr/local/lib/libgd.so.4 (0x280cf000)
libpng.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libpng.so.6 (0x2810c000)
libiconv.so.3 => /usr/local/lib/libiconv.so.3 (0x28131000)
libm.so.5 => /lib/libm.so.5 (0x28227000)
libc.so.7 => /lib/libc.so.7 (0x28241000)
libfontconfig.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libfontconfig.so.1 (0x2835b000)
libz.so.5 => /lib/libz.so.5 (0x28389000)
libjpeg.so.11 => /usr/local/lib/libjpeg.so.11 (0x2839b000)
libfreetype.so.9 => /usr/local/lib/libfreetype.so.9 (0x283d1000)
libthr.so.3 => /lib/libthr.so.3 (0x28446000)
libexpat.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libexpat.so.6 (0x2845b000)
I uninstalled and reinstalled, then started bandwidthd again, and it collected data properly. Are you checking "draw graphs" in the settings?
If the service is running, and as you showed the libraries are all present, your problem may be something else than others in the forum had been reporting.
Bandwidthd is runing when I reloading firefox. Thank you for your help from my bottom heart.
