Description
Having the man pages - where available - for all out-of-the-box binaries would improve scenarios where there are no other Internet connections.
Currently a man invocation brings up an unencouraging message:
[2.5.1-RELEASE][root@hostname]/root: man pftop
man: Command not found.
Updated by Jim Pingle over 3 years ago
- Category changed from Package System to Operating System
- Priority changed from Normal to Very Low
Currently we deliberately remove them to save on space, though these days space isn't at as much of a premium as it was in the past.
Man pages are unlikely to help with pfSense while offline, however. Most users do not / should not be digging that deeply.
What would be more likely to help is keeping a copy of the documentation for pfSense software on the firewall (See #9616 for example)
