The content of the 3rd paragraph refers to clogs - a pre 2.5 configuration, ie compare with:
https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/monitoring/logs/manage.html
Rather than update the wording, perhaps this section could be just simplified with a direct link to the "Working with Log Files" page, or perhaps move some of that summary to the previous page... essentially just writing (& maintaining it) in one place :)
