Description

Please consider adding this function. I have tested that its actual network speed is 5-10 times faster than wireguard. Especially for international network speed. And it supports freebsd system.

I have notified the developer of this program, and the developer has agreed to promote this program. And it is recommended to enable the core support of the BBR system.

At present, this program version is based on the optimized quic protocol. The advantage is that in the case of international network congestion and operator restrictions, it will greatly increase the speed of the international network. And bypass the network restrictions of some countries. And the author said that the plan is based on the latest network The next version of the protocol development will further optimize the network effect.

  • Project changed from pfSense Plus to pfSense Packages
  • Subject changed from add hysteria support to Hysteria Proxy/Relay
  • Category changed from VPN (Multiple Types) to New Package Request
  • Release Notes deleted (Default)

It's no surprise that it's faster than WireGuard as it has no encryption. It's a proxy/relay setup, not an encrypted VPN, so it's not a valid comparison.

Still, it sounds interesting and may be something someone might want as an add-on package, so long as it's very clear that it offers no encryption on its own.

No, it has encryption, and it's specifically designed to bypass internet surveillance in authoritarian countries. Certificates are required.

After I have tested and compared, it is designed to include encryption to bypass monitoring. After the network protocol is optimized, the speed is currently the fastest among all VPNs and porxy.

It has been tested in China Internet, and the Wireguard has been monitored and blocked by authoritarian countries such as China and Iran.
I can provide a test account.
