Article explains how to install any major pfSense software version on VMware vSphere versions 5.x and 6.x.
but according to https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/pdf/VMware_GOS_Compatibility_Guide.pdf
the earliest ESXi version which supports FreeBSD 13 was ESXi 7.0
And 23.01 based on FreeBSD 14
Previously I saw that ESXi 6.5 was the minimum requirement to install 2.4.x version. So we might recommend to the customers to use ESXi version 7 or later if they install 23.01.
