That revert was only on stable/dev. This feature is not in a release yet, so it's on the releng/23.05 branch, not stable/dev. See my link in the comment above. The commit is present there and will be merged back into stable/dev and the prod branch after 23.05. There is no need to keep this open until then if the content is OK on the 23.05 branch.
