Description

This was functionality inadvertently broken during the PHP 8.1 updates back in early 2023 and was not detected during testing at that time. It was apparently discussed on a Reddit thread in the past, but no Redmine issue was created to document the bug and thus it has persisted until now. The bug was recently reported again in a thread on the Netgate Forum where I noticed the post.

I will correct the issues and submit a pull request with the fix.
