Unable to check for updates
Cannot see any additional packages. Seems like pfsense is unable to check for updates however internet is working fine.

You can try these steps to force download new repository files. This is often all you need to do but repo issues are breakage, and should have a support ticket opened here:
https://www.netgate.com/tac-support-request
1. Go to System > Update and set the branch to the next or previous version if available. Either will suffice.
2. Let it complete downloading the repository list. Don't disturb it while you see "Retrieving" with the yellow gear icon spinning.
3. Then once Retrieving turns to Status, set it back to the version of pfSense you're actually running. Again, don't disturb the yellow gear.

Rebooted system again this morning and its working fine now. thanks for the help.
