Description

Steps:
  1. Fresh install of pfSense+ 23.09.1
  2. Install bind package
  3. Restore a config backup with bind configuration
  4. After reboot, BIND does not start; nothing is logged and /var/etc/named does not exist.

To work around the issue, re-save the BIND configuration page.

I was able to replicate the described behavior.
