Description

As suggested by stephenw10 in the forum [1] to open a feature request, I ask you kindly to add support for the Intel E810 series network adapters in pfSense CE.

Booting a freshly installed pfSense 2.7.2 the following message appears for each port of the E810 NIC:

ice3: The DDP package module (ice_ddp) failed to load or could not be found. Entering Safe Mode.
ice3: The DDP package module cannot be automatically loaded while booting. You may want to specify ice_ddp_load="YES" in your loader.conf

Adding the mentioned statement in /boot/loader.conf.local does not make this message disappear.

The card does not work for me under pfSense CE, it does not recognize a SFP28 module (FS.com, Intel-compatible).Could you please add the needed driver? Thank you very much.
