Assign Interface IP and Restart GUI Console Menu Items Present PID Errors
Added by Kris Phillips about 1 month ago.
Updated 17 days ago.
Description
When attempting to set the DHCP scope for the LAN interface from the Console Menu using option 2, there is always an error about Kea's PID not being able to be killed.
Please wait while the changes are saved to LAN...
Reloading filter...
Reloading routing configuration...
DHCPD...pkill: Cannot open pidfile `/var/run/kea/kea-dhcp4.kea-dhcp4.pid': No such file or directory
Tested this several times and can recreate it over and over on Nov 22nd builds of Plus 24.11.
Tested post-reboot and with a factory defaulted firewall. Same results.
Testing with the ISC Backend, it produces a different error:
DHCPD...pkill: Cannot get process list (kvm_getprocs: No such process)
After a factory default and then switching to the Kea backend from ISC, the original error about "No such file or directory" is presented.
With the ISC backend, it's the kvm_getprocs error from above.
- Subject changed from Setting DHCP Scope in SSH/Console Menu on Interface Produces Error Regarding PID to Assign Interface IP and Restart GUI Console Menu Items Present PID Errors
Restart GUI is also producing a similar error:
Restarting webConfigurator...pkill: Cannot get process list (kvm_getprocs: No such process)
Updating redmine title to reflect.
#15912 results in the same error.
pkill: Cannot get process list (kvm_getprocs: No such process)
