Description

If you have an assigned tailscale interface, the upgrade to 24.11 won't finish and unit will be stuck on console prompt for interface assignment
post-upgrade boot log attached

I don't think this is a regression. Assigning the tailscale interface is not a valid setup, though we don't do anything to prevent a user from doing it.

Does this same issue happen with interfaces assigned with wireguard?

If it's true that "assigning the tailscale interface is not a valid setup", it should be straightforward to prevent any tailscale.* named interfaces from appearing in the Interface Assignment menu. I checked on 25.07-RC and it still allows me to do this.
