I have submitted Pull Requests against the pfSense packages repo to update the Suricata binary to the latest 7.0.8 version from upstream. Also updated the GUI package to reflect the new version of the underlying binary as my goal with Suricata is to keep the major/minor version tags of the binary and GUI packages in sync.
Requests submitted here: https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/pull/1399 and https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/pull/1400 for the current 2.7.2 CE version, and here: https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/pull/1401 to update the DEVEL version GUI package (the DEVEL version binary package was updated to 7.0.8 by someone else today).
This Redmine issue can be marked RESOLVED when the pull requests are merged.
