Description

Log messages that use the daemon facility are not logged to the system log.

This is a regression in 25.11.1. Fixed with commit:0370993ffd98ea1912181d65e8d75f29028a4cbc.

Tested on 25.11.1-RELEASE (built on Tue Jan 27 20:33:00 UTC 2026)

There is a 'Fix missing system logs from daemon facility ' patch in the Recommended System Patches list.
After applying it, FreeRadius logs were again available on the System Logs/General page.

Hi there,
I'm using pfSense 25.11.1 with FreeRADIUS 0.16.1

I applied the 'Fix missing system logs from daemon facility ' patch, then restarted FreeRADIUS, but it still does not log in the System Log.

Logging in to /var/log/radius.log works okay, but switching to System Log is not working.
