Description
Establishing a PPTP tunnel with pfSense does not pass routes to PPTP VPN clients. This may or may not be intended so this may be a feature request. Ideally, there would be a section on the PPTP setup page so setup routes to be passed to PPTP clients when they are configured for split tunnel.
- Status changed from New to Rejected
it's not possible to send routes to PPTP clients, has to be done on the client.
I think your may mean that is it not possible for the PPTP Server used by pfSense to send routes to PPTP clients as I have no problems with iPhone and other PPTP clients accessing multiple network subnets in a split tunnel setup with other PPTP servers. My internet connection and local routes work as expected going through my local default gateway and I can access the subnets on other the other side of the PPTP tunnel and I do not have to do anything on my clients for this to work as I have described.
Food for thought in case the PPTP server software is ever updated with this functionality or you change to a PPTP server that already provides this functionality.
I'm not aware of any PPTP server that does that in a way that works for all clients, which are you using that does? Everything I've seen says Windows, BSD and Linux clients don't support that at all, and I don't see any reference to that being possible on iOS.
Yeah I would also be interested in finding out which PPTP server supports that. All the ones I have used don't provide that functionality never mind the clients.
