Bug #2292
closedDarkStat interface selection needs to only allow single interface
0%
Description
This is only a small bug / misinterpretation.
The configuration interface under "Diagnostic" - "DarkStat settings" presents you with a drop-down-list of all the configured interfaces. However as I was a very keen and curious person I selected ALL interfaces. When I then wanted to see the "dark statistics" I got a timeout. Only by accident I stumbled upon (http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/How_can_I_monitor_bandwidth_usage%3F#Monitoring_on_Multiple_Interfaces) where it was stated that ONLY one listening interface at a time is supported. So I deselected both the WAN and loopback and voila: it worked.
You should either make sure that the user can only select ONE interface in the drop-down-list or put a very precise "ONLY one interface is supported at a time!" warning message on the "DarkStat settings" page. The website is not enough as pfsense might be used as non-internet router. Then you won't see this warning.

Well, it seems that multiple interfaces are supported since v3.0.716. There are also some IPv6 fixes, would be nice to get an updated package. :)

Considering we are on 3.0.718, this should be fixed. BTW, 3.0.719 has been released. ;)
