Feature #2505

Toggle button to disable/enable multiple firewall rules
Added by Matt Bochenek over 12 years ago.
Updated over 2 years ago.
Plus Target Version:
22.05
Description
I'd like to be able to disable and enable multiple firewall rules at once. It would make it easier for troubleshooting purposes.
This Feature would be much appreciated!
Not only for debugging but also for emergency situations,
i.e. if you want to shutdown several services at once to
respond to an attack or abuse.
Interface shutdown is no alternative if the network is
maintained from remote.

I support the idea! Why has no one reacted for so many years?
This would be excellent!
I guess when it needs to be done, people just resign themselves to "I'll just do them all manually right now, like I always have".
It's very inconvenient and time-consuming to:
- click to edit a rule/nat
- wait for page refresh
- checkmark "disable"
- scroll down
- save
- wait for page refresh
- repeat steps 1-6, 24 times
- repeat steps 1-6, 24 times, to uncheck "disable"
- Assignee set to Viktor Gurov
- Status changed from New to Pull Request Review
- Target version set to 2.7.0
- Plus Target Version set to 22.05
The link is internal and only available to Netgate developers, the changes will be visible in the public repository after they are merged.
- Status changed from Pull Request Review to Feedback
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
Could this feature also be added to the NAT config pages? (Port Forwards and Outbound NAT)
- Subject changed from Disable/Enable Multiple firewall rules to Toggle button to disable/enable multiple firewall rules
- Status changed from Feedback to Resolved
