Description

ladvd consistently dumps core on my firewall.
See attached core file (bzip'd).
I have only seen this happen on one firewall, which happens to be the only i386 firewall I run.

this still happen with 2.3? Haven't seen it on any of mine, but they're all 64 bit.

No longer crashes, but also doesn't detect any peers. Same behaviour on two different i386 firewalls.

(Both firewalls are attached to switches that, at the very least, are broadcasting LLDP packets... one NetGear, one Dell.)

Since 2.3-RELEASE, LADVD no longer crashes, but results on i386 are still inconsistent - one firewall sees the switchport, one doesn't. In the case where it fails to detect an LLDP peer, ladvd on Linux correctly detects the same LLDP peer (i.e. same switch).

Problem on the ticket no longer happens, anything else belongs on a new ticket. Closing.
