Description

I have a B2B VPN scenario that requires me to use the the Cisco-compatible "vpnc" client (https://www.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/~massar/vpnc/, via http://www.freshports.org/security/vpnc) to connect to my business partner.

It makes a lot more sense to have a single VPN connection from the firewall instead of multiple people connecting independently from their desktops.

Apparently the client is supported under FreeBSD, and anecdotal evidence (i.e. google) suggests that the conflict with the IPSEC kernel config option no longer exists, although I could be mistaken - I don't have any other FreeBSD systems to try it on.

I suspect the next-generation packaging system will allow me to install this myself, if so that's an adequate answer as long as I can somehow set routes over the tun/tap VPN connection it creates.
