Description
The NTP Status dashboard widget is displaying some stuff a bit weird - see screenshot attached.
First row says "Server Time" 5:30 - what is the "5:30" there? I am not sure. My timezone happens to be Asia/Kathmandu GMT+0545 and often this gets rounded to 0530or 0600 on systems that do not calculate this 0545 timezone correctly.
Next row has "Server Time" again and a date-tike that is displayed in GMT. I guess the NTP server's time is in GMT by definition. But the 2.2.* widget used to show this adjusted for local time.
The screenshot shows a sample NTP Status widget display form another box running 2.2.5.

Thanks Phil,
I'll look at the code and figure out what the display represents.
Also the old display used to tick the time, the new display seems static.
This obviously should show local time (adding the TZ info there is good idea, the rest - definitely not.)
While here, perhaps you could also look at the broken IPv6 display - #4815
Looks like some debugging perhaps. Sure, I'll look at the hIPv6 thing too.
- Status changed from New to Feedback
- Assignee set to Phillip Davis
Fixed numerous issues in NTP widget.
Time now displays correctly (with offset from GMT) and updates once per second.
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
That looks much better.
It has a settings button, which does not do anything and was not there in 2.2.* - maybe that should be removed? Or are there some settings features to add?
- Status changed from Feedback to Resolved
settings button was removed. all fixed
